The Oasis Dehradun and IIAD Set the Stage for 'Imagine Tomorrow' – Uttarakhand’s First-Ever Inter-School Design Competition

In a landmark move to foster creativity, design thinking, and skill-based education in Uttarakhand, The Oasis School, Dehradun, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), New Delhi, is hosting the region's first-ever Inter-School Design Competition – ‘Imagine Tomorrow’ – on 25th and 26th April 2025.

This groundbreaking event has received an overwhelming response from 20 leading schools across Dehradun and Rishikesh, with participation from over 350 students who will converge at The Oasis campus for two days of immersive competition, collaboration, and creativity.

Conceived by the India Design Forum, 'Imagine Tomorrow' is designed to ignite the creative potential of students and promote awareness about Design as a Future Industry. Students will compete in four innovative categories – Fashion Design, Product Design, Wall Art, and Film Making – to showcase their skills and originality in a dynamic, real-world setting.

Beyond trophies and recognition, the event celebrates thought leadership among schools and the vision of The Oasis as a progressive educational institution that is spearheading the design and skill-based education movement in the state. By enabling students to express, innovate, and co-create, this initiative marks the beginning of a larger shift toward a sustainable, design-driven ecosystem in education.

With India emerging as a global design hub but still facing a shortfall of trained designers, this event plays a pivotal role in nurturing future creators and change-makers who will shape industries and societies alike.
